CHANUKAH: Light of Freedom March
Sunday, December 5, 2010
Please join Congregation Emanu-El, with support of the greater Jewish community,
in this celebration of an integral theme of Chanukah: the light of religious freedom.
As a natural extension of our previous gathering in silence for the sake of peace,
those of other faith communities are invited to join us,
connecting in a spirit of joy, honouring the light of religious tolerance
and diversity here in Victoria.
We will meet at Spirit Square aka Centennial Square
at 5:30 pm on Sunday December 5, 2010,
and walk together down Government Street to Legislature,
holding light sticks and tea-light lanterns symbolizing the light of religious freedom.
There, in front of our democratic parliament buildings,
we will stand together as neighbors,
brothers and sisters and join in lighting a large Chanukah Menorah.

The Dances of Universal Peace
The Dances of Universal Peace are moving to a new location - and a new time of the month!
We are moving to the Church of Truth, 111 Superior St., James Bay, meeting there, 7-9 pm., the last Friday of each month.
If you've never experienced the Dances before, you're in for an uplifting and fun evening. The Dances combine sacred chants from around the world with simple folkdance movements, all with the intention of creating peace where we are and peace on the planet, peace inside and out.
We teach every dance each time, so no experience is necessary. We are asking for a donation of $7 - $10 to cover the rental of the space.
Please come and join us in the Dances in this beautiful new space. If you have any questions, give me a call at 250-598-8243, or send an email. And invite your friends and family!
Many blessings, Baraka Khrystie Phoenix
